It’s officially Spring!

Days are getting longer and warmer, flowers are blooming and everything seems to be so fresh and new again. Well so should your interior displays to entice your customers and show them how they can renew their home interiors this spring.

The designers here at CIMC home are continually researching and designing furniture and home furnishing products based on the latest colours and trends predicted for the year. We bring you brand new fashion forward products each season but more than just a supplier we also love to give you top styling tips, colour combinations and of course full room displays to make shopping with us simple, quick and easy. So without any further-ado, check out the top trending colours, home furniture and furnishings below.

1. Living Coral

We’ve all seen it and heard it, this year’s colour of the year is ‘Living Coral’ it has a warm golden undertone and represents joy, optimism and a lively atmosphere. Its bold attractiveness gives this shade the ability to stop a person in their tracks, therefore this is the colour you need in your window display. Use it as a feature wall or mix and match with colours such as blue and green for a dynamic combination. When used correctly, living coral can be used throughout the house from the bedroom right through to the lounge and dining room radiating positivity in every room.

Value Nova Blush Pink Rectangle Dining Set

Add this brilliant shade to your dining room by checking out our new Nova dining set. The set consists of the Nova dining table which features cross chrome base with a tempered clear glass table top. Accompanying the table are stunning coral pink velvet upholstered chairs with chrome polished legs. This dining set makes for a great focal point in any small or large room especially as the transparency of the clear glass table top creates an illusion of an open, uncluttered space.

Luscious pink hues have been around now for almost 2 years and this year sees no different. With the demand still growing we’ve upped our game and this Spring we bring you bed frames, lighting, wall art, dining chairs, textiles and faux flowers all in delightful shades of blush and rose pink. These warm and feminine tones are the perfect way to spruce up tired looking displays and truly show that spring is settling in.

2. Jewel Tones

This year luxe fabrics, jewel tones and layering are huge.

Using white as a backdrop will ensure that your home accessories stand out and pop with style. For a more moody look, check out how you can create a dramatic edge with our beautiful vivid marine green lighting and textiles.

Our new spring lighting features velvet shades in a rich blue green tone matched with a range of ceramic, chrome and wooden tripod bases. These will look amazing in a lounge display on top of a chic end table such as the new stainless steel hexagon or apex range. Next layer this up by using a textured rug on the floor and scatter our new marine green velvet cushions that are finished with a feathered border or embroidered patterns on a sofa. Finish off the whole vivacious look with our wall art for well-rounded and balanced display.

3. Drink Trolleys

While many interior trends seem to have a sell-by-date, mid-century and Art-deco inspired designs somehow never seem to go out of style. The retro mid-century staple, the humble ‘bar cart’ or ‘drinks trolley’ is back and now more popular than ever. This functional piece of furniture is an interior must-have in any home.

At CIMC we stock beautiful chrome carts with a contemporary twist, featuring smoked, mirrored or glass shelves with added wheels and a handle for easy manoeuvring. Great for entertaining and when not in use it doubles as a great place for storage.

4. 20th Century Inspiration

The art-deco movement manifested itself in all forms including architecture, painting and fashion. Most importantly though in our home decors. To this day we see new furniture inspired by patterns and designs seen in the early 20th century.

Our latest furniture addition this spring – the Bayview furniture range takes great inspiration from this era and features an intricate overlapping circular design with clear mirror insets. Its natural wooden construction and neutral colour means it will mix well with existing décor and as an added bonus we’ve designed the Bayview range in furniture for the bedroom right through to living and dining rooms.

5. Luxury and Sophistication

For those who love a bit of glamour, fear not as 2019 glam is about sophistication. Luxurious materials such as marble, velvet and pewter mix together to create a refined sophisticated finish. The new Amara furniture range is a true reflection of this, featuring a stunning geometric marble veneer wood base with a chrome foundation topped with a rich glossy marble style table top.

6. Floral and Fresh

Trends continue to change and grow year on year, but one specific trend for spring that never changes is flowers and vases. Flowers and spring go hand in hand and your display will instantly become fresher with the addition of our new foam and metal flowers. Detailed and finished in the latest trending colours including blush pink, grey and gold these are a beautiful way to liven up any space.

With Easter round the corner these will be flying off the shelves!
